TransFARMation Farms

Many of these farms only engage with the public in their immediate surroundings; they have no interest in attracting attention or media hype. That is why they’re anonymized on the map. And, as one of the farmers making the transition recently said, “We don’t want to be some kind of oddity on a list; we just want to implement the new normal as a matter of course.” That makes perfect sense, and it is wonderful that these farms are able to follow their path without the need for public relations.

And yet we need those farms that speak out about why this transition is necessary and about the motivations, challenges, and opportunities they have encountered along the way. These farms often work in partnership with sponsors, with the sponsors playing the important role of advocates and making a public presence possible in the first place.

Please note: The farms that do not wish to be publicly listed (small pins) were placed randomly on the map.
